Frequently asked questions.
-
Is the initial free consultation required?
Yes. The free consultation is an important first step. It allows us to determine whether our services are a good fit for your child and gives you the opportunity to ask questions and get to know Chattertots LLC before moving forward.
Is this approach a good fit for my family?
Every family is different. Some families benefit most from traditional speech therapy, while others thrive with a caregiver coaching model. We’ll help determine the best fit during your free 15-minute consultation.
-
Will you be working directly with my child during sessions?
Your child may be present during some sessions, but our services focus on parent and caregiver coaching. We teach you how to support communication during everyday routines and interactions.
What ages do you work with?
Our services are typically designed for children under age 3. However, development varies, so we encourage you to reach out if you’re unsure whether your child is a good fit.
What does parent coaching actually look like?
Parent coaching includes guided observation, strategy modeling, and practical feedback so you feel confident using communication strategies between sessions in real-life moments.
-
How frequently should we be seen?
We’re flexible. Coaching frequency depends on your family’s needs and goals. Between sessions, you’ll practice strategies at home so progress continues beyond our scheduled time.
Do you offer in-person services?
All sessions are currently offered virtually, allowing us to support families in many locations. Based on interest, in-person group classes may be offered for families in Central Ohio.
-
Should I book a single session or a 3-session package?
Every child and family is unique. Recommendations for sessions or packages will be discussed during your initial consultation.
Do you accept insurance?
Chattertots LLC is a private-pay practice, which allows us to provide flexible, personalized coaching without insurance restrictions, wait times, diagnoses, or session limits.
